<3 Money, Rain, Morning Musume, Cute things, Tougher sentences for parole violators and World Peace (less war = more cheap ammo for me ^^), Snakes, Yuri

</3 Summer, Working late, Humans (except you, you're ok)

Favourite genre of music: Too many to name... Easier to say what I DON'T like: RAP, R&B, Hip Hop etc
Operating System: Windows 2000, no XP, I'm conservative ^_^
MP3 player of choice: WinAmp
Shell of choice: I like these shells they have at a Mandarin restaurant close to my house... Expensive, but good!
Favourite cartoon character: Bender from Futurama
So I was at the shooting range the other day, and there was this family with a small daughter (probably less then 10) and she had a pink jacket and pants (I guess the parents think it's cute to give their kids matching costumes) and she had an equally matching pink rifle (a bolt action .22 of some sort) in exactly the same colour! Yeah... Anyway, there was this other family that came later, also with two small daughters, but they regularly coloured guns, also bolt action .22s. So I thought, "well what's the point of a bolt action .22 anyway", so I Googled them and found that there are actually rifles, specifically designed and marketed as "for children" (think I'm full of shit? Check these out:… ,… ,…) Yes, guns for kids ^__^ Notice how the two sites that have pictures both feature that pink deal, so if you woudn't think of little girls as a lucratife demografic for gun sales, you'd be wrong :D
Well, I think it's great, nice to know that in the next generation there will be reasonable people, with correct attitude towards gun ownership, who'll help safeguard our God-given right to buy assault weapons of doom... I mean happy fun sports equipment ^^ Seriously though, if the kids are growing up in a house with firearms, might as well learn about them from their parents, rather then video games or movies, nes pa?

On a completely unrelated note, I was looking through the list of people I devWatch, and like a good third (if not half) now have defunct accounts ;__; Some of them have such awesome unique styles that I really enjoyed. And what's with the gutting of the occount? I mean why do people even take the effort to delete everything?
  • Listening to: Morning Musume - Onna ni Sachi Are

Visiting your gallery for the very first time. You've been here at dA longer than most of us, but that only signals how embarrassed I am for not having discovered your existence until now. Shame on me. In any case, having finally stumbled in, I can say that one indicator of the loveliness of your work is that Caregan is a close associate of yours. First class, that!

As I toured the hallways and galleries of the site, I noticed some very interesting things. First, your earlier work is consciously more vague...and also darker...than the more recent postings. There's a thematic impact for the viewer, of not quite being able to nail down the sense of worry, even dread. Facial features are smudged a bit, quite consciously I imagine. And this gives your characters a deeper mystery. Very alluring.

In contrast, your more recent character portraits, whether singly, in pairs, or even groups, are markedly sharper, cleaner, as if you finally wanted us to get a good look at faces, expressions, etc. And indeed, I'm finally beginning to recognize Darcy without recourse to image titles. One of the results of this shift is that the mystery, and especially the dark aura, has receded. We're now focusing more on the relationships, especially the romantic ones...actually, there's much more specific romantic iconography in your more recent work.

I'm also noticing that bondage has begun to crop up in the more recent images. Caregan's influence? In any case, you do quite well with that theme, as you turn the genre towards the romance and relationship perspective you seem to want us to adopt. My personal wish is that you'll do more of this genre, just to see how your skills and artistic vision spin it.

In conclusion: I'm so glad I've gotten here, and I promise to return as often as I can. Keep up the wonderful work.

And though Caregan doesn't say so, while the world may be in Peril, and resistance may be futile, assimilation is not a given!

I did become a lot more fond of doing more interesting facial expressions, wheres before I used be more fond of "settings".

I've seen some bondage drawings and photos before a lot of them were very.. uh.. abusive and misogynistic, so I felt dirty (and not in a good way) after looking at them. Caregan has very nice pictures that feel non-hateful and caring, even if somebody is being mean in her pictures it still feels more playful. So she showed me that this genre doesn't have to be terrible ^__^ And also seeing her stuff made me less insecure about actually posting pictures like this ^^

Yes, that's quite right. And Caregan isn't the only artist here at dA who's careful about not combining bondage with misogyny. There are others. Currently, my surfing list of bondage-related galleries here at dA is over 3000--and those are just the ones I consider reasonably good art. More than a few of them are specifically not abusive and misogynistic.

So, in any case, I'm delighted to have found your gallery. And I promise to return as often as I can!

Quick! Put on these cat ears and this maid outfit! Don't ask why, just do it! The world is in Peril!

(and there's a non-kinky version here: [link])

Haha, OK, I'll do it! I hope the peril isn't too quick, as it'll take me a few days ^^
